Build your kids confidence and family bond

When it comes to helping your kids and their confidence we need to chose our words wisely and our actions do have a big impact on what our kids learn.

If we talk negatively about ourselves or give up what do you think our kids are going to do?

As adults we need to lead by example so let’s try the following exercises for both you and your kids:

  • As a family create a strong self talk list for yourselves and each other and stick it on the fridge. Write down what you are good at, your strengths and how you want others to see you. For example: I am a good person, I am kind, I am smart, I am respectful, I am supportive.
  • Every morning create a strong morning routine with giving lots of love and affection. Smiling at your kids when you first see them and say good morning and I love you. Get your kids to give you a big hug and reiterate that no matter their age they can give their parents a hug!
  • Remind your kids and yourself as well of how proud you are of them and what they achieve and share moments that you have done well during the say and say that you are proud of yourself.
  • Before bed set a good routine 1 - 2hr hours before sleep. Have o negative news on tv, no phones or social media and take have a safe space for everyone. You can all go read a book, listen to calming music or simply have showers and go to sleep.

See how you go integrating theses 4 new habits into your daily life this helps you and your kids and the family relationship!
