Controlling anger or frustration
Share
We are allowed to feel emotions and it’s healthy to let our emotions out instead of holding them in.
When we are dealing with some of the strongest emotions such as frustration and anger we can really struggle with letting them out in an appropriate way.
So here are some tips to help you:
- Take up boxing or any type of martial arts in a controlled space with a qualified instructor
- Learn to control your breathing and counting your breaths
- Have a safe space you can go to let out your feelings
- Ask for help with processing your thoughts and feeling
- Listen to calming music
- Talk to yourself and say it is okay to have these feelings
- Doing exercise
- Remove yourself from the situation that sparks this emotion
- Take a step back and once you are calm go and talk to the person or thing that made you feel this way to resolve the situation and hopefully prevent it from happening again. (Remember your feelings are valid)
Remember we are all human and we are about to feel angry, sad, frustrated, anxious or any other emotion.
