We work day in and day out to be at our top performance level. We sacrifice weekend adventures, mid-week movie night with friends, family dinners and so much more to be game ready and in one bad tackle, one slip or one turn can bring your whole world crashing down.
 
For some people they just don’t understand what a setback like that feels like or potentially career ending injury.
This is for athletes out there to say you are not alone and for maybe others that aren’t athletes and just want to understand the thoughts and process’s to situations like this.
 
IT SUCKS! No formal way to really say it and it doesn’t even do it justice to say yeah it sucks but its ok. Nope it isn’t always just ok. It feels like your whole world is over and you don’t know which way it up. The biggest question that keeps circling is why me?
 
Well my answer to your why me is we are given what we can handle. We are the strong ones, the ones the cop the worst because we are strong enough to handle it. Yes 100% we are human and will have our down moments and our bad days BUT we won’t give up.
 
Why won’t we give up? Because we are the 1% of people that are athletes at a high level that put in the 1% extra work to be there and we won’t let anyone take that from us.
 
So this blog is for anyone who needs reminding of why you are an athlete, why you give the extra, why you started in the first place and why you should remember you are not alone!
