How do we make our emotions work for us so we are always winning?
Working with your emotions

Think of it this way, we can always be doing something big or small that benefits us in some way.
When we are angry or upset for example we are not sure if we should go to bed to cry and block out the world, punch a wall or go off at someone who made us feel this week. We are driving ourselves crazy with what we should or shouldn’t do and fight without own mind. We end up doing nothing then feel 10 times worse for doing nothing plus we feel guilty.
So this is a tool on how you can take that control back and create your own safety net when dealing with everyday emotions.
Try creating a listen of any emotion you have felt.
Now next to each emotion write what you will focus on when you're in this state.
For example:
ANGRY - I will focus on a workout or going for a walk and listening to music.
NERVOUS - I will focus on self-talk “I am excited for me speech, I am pumped for my first workout with my trainer”
UPSET - I will focus on calling a friend to chat, going for coffee and reading my favourite book.
Now you have done something for yourself, you have controlled that emotion and probably let it out so you are some what calm and happy again or less stressed out.
Remember this is for you and you can use it any way you like just make sure you stay strong, take control and do it for you.
